Natural Gas
Natural gas is a widely used fuel and can be produced via conventional or renewable methods.
Natural gas is a mixture of hydrocarbons - predominately made up of methane. Natural gas produced through conventional methods is a fossil fuel because its made from sources formed over millions of years by heat and pressure.
Renewable natural gas (RNG) is produced through the anaerobic digestion of organic materials - whether from livestock, waste, or food scraps.

For use in vehicles, natural gas must be in a compressed (CNG) or liquefied form (LNG). Natural gas is domestically produced, relatively low priced, and available commercially.
