Propane

Propane is an alkane gas stored under pressure as a colorless, odorless liquid. Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) or propane autogas can be used as a clean-burning alternative fuel. Propane is a by-product of natural gas processing and crude oil refining.

Propane fueling infrastructure is widespread across the country. It can power light, medium, and heavy-duty propane vehicles. Its wide domestic availability and clean-burning qualities have resulted in its popularity as an alternative fuel.
